Tonight our Crumlin 5ths headed to Downpatrick for their 3rd round match against Downs 2 โ and what an exciting match it was from the very first whistle! ๐ฅ
The first quarter was neck and neck, with both teams battling hard. Our 5ths showed great composure and finished the quarter 2 goals ahead.
Into the 2nd and 3rd quarters, the pressure continued with some very physical play from Downs, but our players kept their heads, stayed focused and continued to build their lead. ๐ช๐
By the end of the 3rd, Crumlin had stretched the lead to 8 goals.
The 4th quarter brought some tired legs, but our strong defence, hardworking mid-court and clinical shooters dug deep to see the game through. Downs fought right to the final whistle, but our 5ths held on to finish with a 7-goal win! ๐๐
โญ A fantastic team performance and a well-earned victory!
