Following last week's narrow defeat, the 3rds were determined to get back to winning ways against Seven Towers, who, like Crumlin, had been promoted from the 3rd Division.
It was a real battle from the first whistle, with both teams going goal for goal. Seven Towers edged ahead, taking a 3-goal lead at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter continued to be challenging, as Crumlin took time to find their rhythm against Seven Towers' strong defensive unit and accurate shooting, which saw them extend their lead to 5 goals.
But the 3rds weren't giving up! They dug deep in the third quarter, with some brilliant interceptions from Eliza and Emily in defence helping to turn the game around. Crumlin fought their way back and took a 2-goal lead heading into the final quarter.
With nerves of steel and determination across the court, the girls kept their composure in the fourth. Some fantastic shooting from Eva and Suzanne helped stretch the lead, securing a brilliant 49โ43 victory! ๐
A fantastic team effort, showing resilience, determination and plenty of fight. That's the spirit, 3rds! ๐ช๐โค๏ธ
Onwards and upwards, Crumlin!
